Danielle Currier, Randolph College

Danielle M. Currier is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Women & Gender studies at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va. She will give a talk entitled “Fantastical, Feisty, Fearless, Flying, and Feminist: the Girls and Women of Hogwarts” on festival day.

Although her day job requires that she teach, act as a pseudo-parent to her students, and conduct research, she still finds time to kayak, hike in the woods looking for fairies and unicorns, and listen to fanfiction read aloud by her goddaughter.
